How do I cancel my subscription?

To determine your payment platform, please look at the Merchant Details on your financial statement.

• If only "The Athletic" or "Paypal The Athletic" is listed, you purchased directly through the website.
• If "iTunes" is also in the merchant details, you purchased using in-app purchase on iOS.
• If "Google" is also in the merchant details, you purchased using in-app purchase on Android.

If you purchased directly from the website:

1. Navigate to Your Account page at theathletic.com/settings
2. Click Cancel Subscription under Subscription
3. Finish the cancellation process on screen

If you purchased using in-app purchase on iOS:

1. Go to the "Account" pane of The Athletic app
2. Tap your name at the top of the page
3. Tap Manage Subscriptions
4. Tap "Go to Settings"
5. Tap on The Athletic subscription
6. Tap Cancel

1. Open the Settings app on your iOS device
2. Tap on your Apple ID at the top of the screen
3. Tap on Subscriptions
4. Tap on The Athletic subscription
5. Tap Cancel.

If you purchased using in-app purchase on Android:

1. Open your Google Play app
2. Choose Subscriptions from the menu
3. Choose The Athletic from the list
4. Cancel
