Why do I have to login every time I click on a link to your site?

If you are tapping a link from an app other than your browser, theathletic.com is loaded in a view that is not able to save your password for future automatic login. If you log in once from your default browser, you will be automatically logged in when tapping links in other apps in the future.

If you are using iOS:

1. Open Safari on your device
2. Navigate to theathletic.com/login or tap the menu button at the top left of the page (pictured below)
3. Log in and allow Safari to save your password

You should now be automatically logged in to The Athletic when tapping theathletic.com links in other applications. You may have to log in once more inside the app after tapping a link.

If you are using Android:

1. Open the default web browser on your device
2. Navigate to theathletic.com or tap the menu button at the top left of the page (pictured above)
3. Log in and allow the browser to save your password

You should now be automatically logged in to The Athletic when tapping theathletic.com links in other applications. You may have to log in once more inside the app after tapping a link.
