Speak Article

The Athletic app for iOS has text-to-speech functionality built in so that you can enjoy our stories even when you aren't able to read it!

To use Speak Article, first enable it under App Settings in the Account tab. Then tap the ear icon at the top right of any article. In the popup that appears, you can Pause or Move Forward or Backward in the story. You can also control the speed at which the story is read. To dismiss the Speak Article function, simply tap the X in the top right of the popup.

This feature is currently only available in The Athletic app for iOS.
