Guest Passes

The Athletic Guest Passes are the best way to bring your friends and family into The Athletic fold!

Just go to theathletic.com/share or tap the Gift icon in the settings pane of The Athletic app to generate a unique code that will let one person enjoy a 30 day trial of The Athletic at no charge.

Guest Passes let current subscribers share an exclusive 30 day trial with anyone they know. This trial is not available anywhere else and gives your friends and family the full experience of The Athletic for four times longer than our standard 7-day trial. Each subscriber gets 5 Guest Passes to share with friends and the Guest Passes can be redeemed in a web browser.

To redeem a Guest Pass, you will provide payment information for an annual subscription to be billed at the end of the 30 day trial, and you can cancel up to 24 hours before your trial ends if you choose to discontinue access to all the great content on The Athletic. Guest Passes are not available through in-app purchases on iOS or Android and are not subject to further promotional or introductory discounts.
